About the Workshop:
The concept of rhythm goes beyond simple routines. It grounds us in the natural rhythms that shape life, from our breathing patterns to seasonal changes. Children who experience predictable rhythms develop a profound sense of security that supports their overall well-being.

Chinyelu will guide participants through the four anchors of family rhythm:

1. Sleep
Quality sleep nurtures physical and emotional health, enhancing mood, social interactions, memory formation, and self-regulation. Protected sleep strengthens inner rhythmic cycles essential for growth and renewal.

2. Mealtimes
Regular family meals create sacred pauses in busy days, opportunities for connection and presence. These intentional gatherings deepen relationships through the simple yet powerful act of sharing food prepared with care.

3. Playtime
Independent creative play is fundamental for cognitive and emotional development. When children explore freely, they develop imagination, creativity, and adaptability. This type of play supports the whole child—physically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually.

4. Outdoor Time / Time in Nature
Nature experiences improve children's cooperation, focus, and compassion while reducing behavioral challenges. Whether exploring forest paths, feeling different textures, or watching clouds drift by, time outdoors nourishes children's innate sense of wonder and connection to the world.

Come join us for evening of local art, food, dessert music and so much more.

As an event for Ventura Trans Pride, this art show will be held at Ventura Therapy Collective at 5550 Telegraph Rd, Ventura CA 93003 on Saturday March 29th from 6pm to 9pm. The show will be up and hanging in the center for a week. There is no fee to participate and artists will keep 100% of the sales. This show is designed to showcase trans and nonbinary artists by celebrating our amazing existence! The theme is life as a trans/nonbinary person. How do you see you? How do we as a community exist in the world?

We are seeking 2D and 3D visual art. We are also looking for a few makers(artists who's work won't hang on the walls) and community resources to table at the event. Tables can be provided.

Art drop off will be March 23rd-27th. I will email specific details closer to the drop off window. We will be hanging this show with command hooks and using easels. Paper pieces do not need to be framed BUT must be mounted on a mat or canvas board or something thicker than paper.

Please no pieces over 24"x36". Please submit up to 5 pieces of art.
